Respect, Protect, Share and Enjoy the Strawberry Line

Traffic-free paths are perfect for exploring the outdoors. They provide safe spaces for families to explore the beautiful countryside along the route. As this is a shared access route, please respect all other users, protect our natural environment and share the path safely and responsibly. Together, we can make sure everyone can enjoy the Strawberry Line.

Give Way

Cyclists and Equestrians should give way to pedestrians and Mobility users.

Wheelchair users have right of way over all other user groups.

Please take care when crossing or joining public roads & lanes.

Slow Down

Cyclists, Horse Riders and Powered Mobility Users should control your speed and give appropriate warnings when passing slower pedestrian users.

Powered Mobility Users speed limit 4mph.

Horse Riding

Is currently permitted:

  • Lampley Road to Arnold’s Way, Yatton.

  • Dolemoor Lane, Congresbury to Carditch Drove, Sandford.

  • Latches Lane, Draycott to Honeyhurst Lane, Rodney Stoke.

  • Lodge Hill, Westbury sub Mendip to Beaconsfield Farm, Easton.

  • Wells to Churchill Batch Lane, Dulcote.

  • Stump Cross Bridge, Ridge Road to Shepton Mallet.

Riders are requested not to canter or gallop to avoid risk to other users.

Dog Walkers

Maintain close control of dogs at all times and remove all dog waste.

Bag it – Bin it. Please don’t discard dog waste bags, or leave dog waste on our path, embankments & verges as it’s a biohazard.

Work in Progress

Our partners & volunteers are routinely performing improvement and maintenance works, so please exercise caution when passing them on the path. As well as respecting any temporary closures, for your safety.
