Shepton Mallet and Easton path closures.

On Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th September 2026, sections of the path will be closed in Shepton Mallet from The Sidings to the Football Club Car Park whilst contractors lay a tarmac surface on behalf of Greenways and Cycleroutes. Marshals will be in attendance. This will greatly improve the surface for all path users and maintain a smooth surface for years to come. Users are asked to find alternative routes whilst these works are undertaken.

On completion of the path works at Shepton Mallet, the contractor will move to Easton for improvement works where Greenways will use the opportunity to improve the existing path surface between Ebbor Lane and Erlon Lane, Easton down through the Easton cutting. This will require closure of this section for short periods.

As Greenways continue work on the Phase 2 (of 4) extension towards Haybridge they will be laying tarmac along part of a shared private lane.
